TIC-Web is a 100% web based software for the tourist industry. This means that all the programme’s functions are carried out over the internet and TIC-Web can be accessed from every work place.

This project contains the many years of experience gained from the legacy software TIC – Touristic Information Centre. 100 percent of the accommodation establishments in South Tyrol are included in and managed by TIC-Web. TIC-Web supports tourism organisations in their substantial daily work. Over the course of time TIC-Web's range of functions has steadily increased. TIC-Web supports staff with the following modules:

  • Master Data Management of accommodation providers and the catering industry
  • Availability message
  • Enquiry management
  • ASTAT and tourist tax reports
  • Points of interest and activities
  • Events
  • Weather and snow conditions, updated every day by staff at the Tourist Information Offices and ski areas
  • Webcams
  • Press contacts

TIC-Web is, of course, continuously adapted to the rapid developments in the tourism and IT sector. The software development team at LTS is constantly working on the different modules to modify them in accordance with the latest wishes and requirements.

Apart from request management, company data management and availability maintenance are certainly TIC-Web’s main modules. In addition to these, there are numerous other functions available to tourist boards and associations, e.g. the Event manager for managing, reserving and booking events, a module for the maintenance of press contacts, information point solutions for 24 hour visitor information and an online booking solution. For a number of years LTS has also been offering a Web TV System (Information channel) for accommodation establishments and tourism organisations in conjunction with the company GardenaNet.

The IT services on LTS’s pages have steadily expanded over the course of time. The increasing importance of this sector has been taken in account. LTS offers its members all-round IT support through the LTS cooperative.  In terms of hardware this primarily means equipping tourism organisations’ (TO) with efficient hardware including networking and cabling and professional maintenance of these IT systems. The offer is also supplemented with Info.Point 2.0. For further information please click here.

In terms of software the offer includes TIC-Web tourism software, a back office solution for tourism organisations and central tourism databases, in addition to standard software (Office, fax software, graphics programme).

Support is guaranteed for users in tourism organisations via a professional hotline, which focuses primarily on support in using with the TIC-Web software program, but also provides general IT support.

From a tax point of view, tourism organisations in South Tyrol are in a special position (like other not for profit organisations). Legally both tax and VAT can require particular processes that many accountancy programmes on the market can only deal with through "work arounds", which in some cases doubles the number of document entries.

In these times of limited resources and ever-increasing demands on tourism organisations, a targeted implementation of available resources is absolutely essential.  Related to this is the decision whether to do accountancy in-house or whether to outsource it. In-house accountancy, provided you have personnel with accountancy skills, is certainly an efficient planning and control tool that has many advantages over outsourced accountancy. These are, for example, the availability of current figures with no time delay and the allocation of costs and income in as detailed a way as required. As far as is practicably possible (time/qualified personnel) LTS advises all organisations to carry out a large part of their accounting in-house.

In the search for a suitable software solution LTS has found the company PRO DATA and its business software "OMBIS" to be successful.  Hence LTS has put together two packages.

Accounting package OMBIS Fibu TV

As well as its basic accountancy capabilities, this package allows you to do budget planning and analysis, invoicing and manage the dunning process as well as calculating membership fees.  This basic package can be expanded with additional modules e.g. cost accounting, online banking interface, other export/import functions etc.

OMBIS invoicing and premium calculation

In addition to invoicing, this package allows the automatic calculation of membership fees. Furthermore simple item management and dunning process functions are included.  There is also the option with this package to have additional modules built step by step, so for example, accounting data can be exported to the online banking interface.

The software company PRO DATA serves as a central point of contact for assistance and questions about OMBIS. You can reach these services at:

With its direct connection to electronic information systems, Info.Point 2.0 ensures a high level of information content and constant updating of all the region’s data - with no additional implications for data maintenance. Together with its partner ACS, the LTS provides a uniform hardware and software package as well as support with all aspects of project implementation.

Info.Point 2.0 is up-to-date and user-friendly, offers its target audience current information at any time, and its modern technology is suitable for use in extreme weather and environmental conditions. Further information (in German) is available for download.

The data from the TIC-Web can be integrated into the own website via an interface. In contrast to the page modules, you can choose which data are to be published by the interface and how they should be displayed.
